The internet presence www.igo-nrw.de connects for the first time science, technologies and teaching - to the benefit of enterprises India counts to the largest countries of the world, the real economical growth of the past ten years is over 8% p.a., the buying force of the population nearly doubled since the turn of the millenium. India will become the 3rd largest industrial force of the world in the near future´- acc. to international economical experts. „Under these aspects it is a must for German entrepreneurs to get engaged with the potential, the chances and risks of the Indian markets. Atherwise they might loose necessary influences in the world market and get later on only a difficult access," says Juergen Steinmetz, head of the Economical Development Department. The Rhine County Neussy built a platform with the „Indo-German Office NRW" (short: IGO-NRW) for enterprises, universities and institutes to ease the market access and knowledge transfer considerably. It was opened in June 2005 by the Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. Balaveera Reddy of VTU, Bangalore, India. Enterprises must be present when and where markets change. Big industrial and wholesale companies in new marketplaces get supplies from local sources for easy reasons: quality assurance, legislation, Just-in-Time deliveries, After Sales Service and much more. No representation here means nearly automatically no chance to supply. The ones who do not transfer their Know How today cannot expect business tomorrow.
